What do I need to race?

A valid government-issued ID (Driver’s License, Passport, Military ID, Permanent Resident Card). We provide head-socks, helmets, optional race suits and neck braces, and lockers for free use. Please wear closed-toed shoes and tie long hair back.

How long does it take to race?

If it’s your first time racing, prepare to spend a couple of hours on the entire process. This includes your check-in time, training (about 7 minutes), and racing 2-3 races. We usually schedule your races with a 15-minute break in between to give you time to cool down and strategize for your next race.

What is a heat?

A heat is the amount of time you will spend on the track in a particular race. Monday – Friday before 5 PM, the heats are 7 minutes. Weeknights and weekends the heats are 5 minutes long. We are looking for the fastest lap you can complete in a heat, not how many laps you can complete. Most racers can get anywhere from 6-14 laps around our ¼ mile track during this time. *Note – mid-December through min-January, we run 5-minute heats all day.

Is there a height/weight limit for adult go karts?

Our karts are adjustable, and we do not have a height limit as long as you can safely control the kart. Weight restrictions can vary depending on your build. Customers under 6′ and weighing over 275lbs should come in for a complimentary kart fitting for your safety.

How fast are your karts?

Ou adult go karts can reach speeds of up to 45 MPH, and the junior karts have speeds around 20-25 MPH.

Do you have a restaurant?

We sure do! Our Trackside Tavern is the perfect post-race hangout! The Trackside Tavern features a full-service bar and a menu stacked with American classics like burgers, pizza, and wings. Check out our menu here.

So you serve alcohol. Can you drink and drive?

Absolutely not. We have a no-tolerance policy for drinking and driving here at Unser Karting & events. Upon check-in, everyone over the age of 21 is given a wristband. Once you purchase an alcoholic beverage in our Trackside Tavern, your wristband will be cut, and you can no longer race from that point on.
